Two pipes from the Drecht tunnel were successfully converted in one weekend to the latest generation traffic engineering installation (MTM), whereby the link with tunnel technical installations (TTI) was implemented based on the National Tunnel Standard. The approach to conversion and going operational in one weekend is a first in the Netherlands!
Compass and Siemens work together intensively in this order from the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management to renew traffic signs to the A15, A16 and A38 motorways according to the latest standards. The assignment comprises the complete system integration. The months of preparation and coordination with all stakeholders involved led to the first success: last weekend the first substations, matrix signalers and tunnel signalers were successfully commissioned and a new interface link. The A16 (left main lane) is completely closed (to) offer a safe working environment to all project employees.
Compass and Siemens are also renewing this route in the course of 2018/2019:
- 120 substations with associated detector stations
- 500 matrix signal generators
- 2 wind warning systems
- 30 km of new fiber optic infrastructure warnings.
